Common questions

What is the best Master in Management program in Europe?
By the Financial Times 2025 Masters in Management ranking — the ordering used on this page — University of St. Gallen currently sits at the top among the 110 European programs we profile. But "best" depends on what you're optimising for: ranking is only one lens, and the cheapest, highest-salary or specialisation lists may point you elsewhere. Read the full profile of any school for its fees, salary, GMAT range and outcomes before deciding.
How are these MiM programs ranked?
This list is ordered by each school's Financial Times Masters in Management 2025 standing, which the FT builds from alumni salary three years out, career progress, international mobility, value for money and other survey-based factors. It is a useful, independent benchmark — but it is survey-driven and methodology-dependent, so treat it as a starting point rather than a verdict. Each profile shows the underlying fees, salary and outcomes so you can judge on the data that matters to you.
Is a higher-ranked MiM always the better choice?
No. The right MiM for you depends on cost, location, language, specialisation, recruiting market and the kind of career you want — not just rank. A school ten places lower may be a far better fit if it is stronger in your target sector, cheaper, or in the country where you want to work. Use the ranking to build a shortlist, then compare programs head to head on the factors that decide your outcome.
Do I need the GMAT to apply to a top European MiM?
It varies by school. Some top European MiMs require the GMAT, GMAT Focus or GRE; others accept a school-specific test or waive a test entirely under conditions. Because test policy changes each cycle, confirm the current requirement on each school's admissions page. If you'd rather avoid the test, our list of MiM programs in Europe without the GMAT is a good starting point.
When are the application deadlines for European MiM programs?
Most European MiMs run several rounds between roughly September and the following summer, and many admit on a rolling basis — so earlier rounds usually carry more seats and better scholarship odds. Deadlines differ by school and move each cycle, so always confirm on the school's own page. Our deadline tracker puts every program's rounds on one timeline so you can plan applications without missing a date.
