Who writes this.
MiM in Europe is an independent guide to European Master in Management programs. I'm Mayank Sehgal — an HEC Paris MiM (Grande École) alumnus who sat on the admissions jury and has mentored 50-plus applicants — and I started it because the information online was either too superficial or too obviously promotional to be useful.
The site covers the programs I know best, written with the kind of honesty you'd get from a friend who has actually been through the process — not from a school's marketing department. If you're early in your search, the program profiles, the composite rankings and the free deadline tracker are the place to start; the Start here page lays out the whole path in order.
Methodology
Rankings on this site are a composite of the Financial Times Masters in Management ranking, the QS Masters in Management ranking, and the Bloomberg Business Week ranking. Where rankings differ significantly, we note the discrepancy and explain what each ranking is measuring.
Program profiles are updated annually before the application cycle opens (typically May–June). Fees, deadlines, and class profile data are taken from official school sources. Qualitative assessments are based on alumni interviews and my own firsthand experience.
Who writes what
Posts written in the first person — the ones drawn from actually living in Paris, going through HEC, sitting on the other side of the admissions table — carry my byline, Mayank Sehgal. The data-driven work — salary and career-outcomes studies, rankings explainers, evergreen application guides — is published under the site's editorial byline, MiM in Europe Editors. That byline isn't a pen name for a person; it signals that the piece was researched and written from primary sources — official school pages, the major ranking tables, and national graduate-earnings and employment data — rather than from one person's lived experience. Either way, every hard number traces back to an official source, as set out above.
