Twente prices the 2027/28 year, which the Dutch government has not yet done. The programme's own finance page carries two columns and four figures: the statutory fee, paid by EU/EEA students, at EUR 2,694 for 2026/27 and EUR 2,771 for 2027/28, and the institutional fee, paid by non-EU/EEA students, at EUR 18,200 and EUR 18,720 — Business Administration sitting in Twente's lower rate band rather than its higher one.⁴ Because the degree runs one year, each of those is also the whole tuition bill, which is not true of the two-year programmes elsewhere in this catalogue. Two things are worth knowing about the EUR 2,771. It is a national number — the statutory fee is set by the Dutch ministry and indexed to inflation, so it is the same at every Dutch public university — and on 2026-09-06 the government's own agency, DUO, still published only the 2026/27 figure of EUR 2,694; Twente's page is ahead of it.⁴ ⁽¹¹⁾ Checked again on 2026-09-06 against a second Dutch public university, and the answer hardened rather than softened: Eindhoven University of Technology publishes its own 2027-2028 institutional fee (EUR 22,400) beside a 2027-2028 statutory row reading, in one word, "t.b.a."⁽¹³⁾ And the EUR 2,771 itself traces to a Ministry of Education inflation calculation — 2.85% over May 2025 to April 2026 — reported on 30 April 2026 in the words "students will most likely pay", with "the official new rate" still to be announced.⁽¹⁴⁾ So EUR 2,771 is a well-founded projection that Twente has printed as a price, not a rate any Dutch institution treats as set. Budget on it if you like the round number; do not plan on it, and re-check DUO before you do. The gap between the two columns is the real number for most readers of this site: EUR 18,720 against EUR 2,771 is a 6.8× difference for the same seat, and it is nationality, not merit, that decides which one you pay. How much does the Twente MSc Business Administration cost?
One year of tuition, and which figure you pay is set by nationality. Twente's own finance page publishes both 2026/27 and 2027/28: the statutory fee for EU/EEA students is EUR 2,694 rising to EUR 2,771, and the institutional fee for non-EU/EEA students is EUR 18,200 rising to EUR 18,720, with Business Administration in Twente's lower-rate band. Because the degree is one year, those are the totals rather than annual instalments — which is why it looks cheap next to the two-year programmes elsewhere in this catalogue. One caveat on the 2027/28 statutory figure: the fee is a national rate set by the Dutch ministry, and on 2026-09-06 the government's own agency DUO still published only the 2026/27 EUR 2,694. Twente's page is ahead of the register, so re-check before you budget on it. Living costs are separate: Twente publishes a Nibud-based estimate of about EUR 1,311 a month.
What scholarships does Twente offer, and can they be combined?
Two, both for non-EU/EEA students who pay the institutional fee — an EU/EEA student paying the statutory fee is explicitly excluded from each. The University of Twente Scholarship (UTS) is worth EUR 3,000 to EUR 22,000 for one year and is aimed at students in the top 5 to 10 per cent of their graduating class. The NL Scholarship, Twente's administration of the national Holland Scholarship, is a flat EUR 5,000 for the first year and requires that you have not previously taken a full degree in the Netherlands. Both closed rounds open on 15 October 2026 and close at 16:00 CET on 1 April 2027, with results in the first week of May. On combining them, Twente's own pages leave a question open rather than answer it: the UTS page states 'you can only be awarded with one UT scholarship', and the same page states that 'an additional scholarship can be awarded to UTS recipients' — the Kipaji Scholarship, which you can only reach by applying for the UTS first. The NL Scholarship page states no combination rule at all. We record that as published, not resolved; ask the scholarship office before planning on two awards.
Should a February starter expect the same funding as a September starter?
No, and this is the catch worth seeing before you choose the intake. Twente advertises both a February and a September start for this programme, but the only round either of its two scholarships publishes is 'for programmes starting September 2027' — the UTS, the NL Scholarship and the UTS-dependent Kipaji award all say so in the same words. A February 2027 start therefore has no published Twente scholarship round attached to it. For a non-EU/EEA applicant that is the difference between a EUR 18,720 bill and a EUR 18,720 bill minus up to EUR 22,000 of possible award, so it should be weighed against the six months a February start saves. Twente also warns that the February option can be specialisation-dependent — 'for some (pre-)master's, and also for specialisations within the master's, you can start in February' — so confirm both the intake and the funding round for your chosen specialisation before you apply.
Is the Twente MSc Business Administration accredited, and is it ranked?
It is accredited by NVAO, the Dutch-Flemish accreditation organisation, which is the national quality mark every recognised Dutch degree carries and is what makes the degree legally a Master of Science. What the programme page does not claim is any of the three international business-school accreditations — no AACSB, no EQUIS, no AMBA — which several of the other Dutch schools in this catalogue do hold. Twente also does not appear in the Financial Times Masters in Management table, so this profile assigns it no rank rather than borrowing a university-wide league position that measures research output. If your target recruiters screen on the triple crown or on an FT position, that is a real argument for looking at the Dutch schools that have them; if you are optimising for a one-year English-taught MSc at a public fee with a February option, it is not.
