Your deadline here depends on whether you need a visa, and most readers of this site are on the early side of it. For the September 2026 intake ISM published four windows: early admission 1 November – 30 April, main admission 1 May – 31 May 'For candidates from visa regime countries', main admission 1 May – 24 July 'For candidates from visa – free regime and CIS countries', and additional admission 22 July – 14 August, 'Only for candidates from visa – free regime and CIS countries'.² An applicant from India, Nigeria, Pakistan or Bangladesh is in the first group, so the practical closing date is 31 May — nearly two months before the one a visa-free applicant reads on the same page. The dates on this page are indicative, because that calendar was for an intake that had already started when this profile was written: ISM's regulations state that the exact dates of each stage are published 'by 1 November of the current year', and that for non-Lithuanian citizens 'Admission dates and application deadlines for foreign nationals from different countries vary'.³ Read them as the shape to plan around and confirm the live ones at ism.lt/admission. Three things about this calendar are worth more than the dates. Early admission is not just earlier: it is the only stage where 'up to 0.5 points for professional or international experience are added', and applicants are told about funding 'after the general admission period' — so the competitive-score bonus and the scholarship decisions both sit on the early track.³ The steps after the deadline are dated too — for early admission, sign the study contract by 20 May, pay the EUR 500 reservation by 31 May, and pay a full semester in advance by 15 June.² ³ And if you are admitted with a residence permit issued by 1 September, ISM requires you to 'arrive at the university no later than September 15' or it 'reserves the right to remove them from the student list'.³ One inconsistency, stated rather than resolved: the additional-admission block is headed '(July 22 – August 14)' and its own step text then says the application 'must be submitted by the deadline: 15th of August, 2025' — a date from the previous cycle left in place.² Line the whole calendar up against the field on the deadline tracker.
