No test is strictly required. Vlerick accepts its own VBAT (Vlerick Business Admission Test) in place of a external test, and the VBAT assesses analytical skills, English proficiency and motivation in one sitting — a valid GMAT, GRE, TOEFL or IELTS can exempt you from parts of it. If you do submit an external score, Vlerick publishes real floors: GMAT 600 minimum, or GRE 157 verbal and 158 quantitative. The harder bar is not the test at all — it is three years of full-time, post-degree work experience, which is a requirement rather than a preference and is what separates this programme from every pre-experience Master in Management in this catalogue. Vlerick publishes no class-average test score, and no minimum TOEFL or IELTS score. Scholarship thresholds are published and sit well above the admission floor: the Academic Scholarship wants GMAT above 680, GMAT Focus above 630, or GRE 160 verbal and 162 quantitative.

Most European MiM programs, including this one, accept the GRE and often the GMAT Focus Edition or a school-specific test as alternatives, and weigh the whole application — academics, internships, essays, and interview — rather than the score alone.
