On who may skip the test, Nottingham publishes the widest rule of any UK school in this catalogue, and it is worth reading rather than assuming. Its admissions policy exempts applicants who have "taken their education entirely in the medium of English" and completed a recognised undergraduate or full master's degree — and it then publishes a table of countries that, in its own words, "are not on the Home Office list" but whose degree-level qualifications it accepts anyway: Anguilla, Barbados, Bermuda, Botswana, Canada (non-bilingual institutions), the Cayman Islands, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Mauritius, Montserrat, Nigeria, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, the British and US Virgin Islands, Zambia and Zimbabwe at any institution Nottingham recognises, plus India, Pakistan and Singapore at selected institutions only. Two cautions: the India, Pakistan and Singapore lists sit behind a staff-only page, so an applicant cannot check their own university and has to ask admissions; and the table is headed as vouching for B2-level English, while this course asks IELTS 6.5, so confirm it clears the course bar rather than only the language floor.
