NHH requires a GMAT or GRE from most international applicants, and it is one of the few schools in this corpus that publishes the exact bar rather than describing it. The exemptions come first, because they decide whether the test applies to you at all: NHH waives it if you have at least 90 ECTS from a Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Danish or Icelandic institution, a degree from an institution in the CEMS or PIM networks, or at least 30 ECTS already passed at NHH at bachelor's or master's level. If none of those describes you, NHH states you are obliged to pass one of the two tests — a GMAT Focus Edition score of at least 555, a previous-format GMAT of at least 600, or at least 152 on the GRE's quantitative reasoning section, with the result no more than five years old at the application deadline. The test sits on top of an academic bar NHH also publishes: 90 ECTS within economics and business administration, of which at least 30 must be business administration and at most 45 may be methodological subjects such as statistics or mathematics, and a grade average corresponding approximately to a B on the ECTS scale.
