KU Leuven MiM GMAT Score

Master of Science in Business Administration · Brussels, Belgium

Verified against official sources · last checked July 2026 · see sources

The GMAT is not required for KU Leuven's MSc in Business Administration. Admission turns on your prior degree rather than a standardised test: direct access is for holders of a bachelor's (or master's) degree that KU Leuven judges equivalent to its own BSc in Business Administration — a genuine business or economics grounding — while graduates of other disciplines route in through a separate Preparatory Programme before starting the master. You must also evidence English proficiency (applicants whose entire degree was taught in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK or the USA are exempted on the strength of their transcripts). Because there is no GMAT gate, this is a useful option if you are mapping test-optional routes — see our [MiM without the GMAT](/blog/mim-in-europe-without-the-gmat) guide — but note it is not a conversion master for non-business graduates. Always confirm the current entry rules on the programme page.

KU Leuven does not publish a GMAT range.

GPADirect admission requires a bachelor's (or master's) degree equivalent to KU Leuven's own BSc in Business Administration — i.e. a business/economics grounding. Graduates of other disciplines can qualify through a separate Preparatory Programme first. This is not an open-to-any-discipline conversion master.
Work experienceNot required — a genuine pre-experience master aimed at recent graduates of business and economics.
MiMs we track admitting without a required GMAT/GRE 64 of 103

A GMAT or GRE is not required to apply to the KU Leuven MiM — it is one of the 64 of 103 Master's in Management we track (about 62%) that admit without a required test. See every European MiM you can apply to without a GMAT on our MiM without the GMAT shortlist, or read how GMAT waivers work.

Most European MiM programs, including this one, accept the GRE and often the GMAT Focus Edition or a school-specific test as alternatives, and weigh the whole application — academics, internships, essays, and interview — rather than the score alone.

Frequently asked questions

Does KU Leuven's MSc in Business Administration require the GMAT or work experience?
No on both counts. The GMAT is not required — admission is decided on your prior degree rather than a standardised test — and no work experience is expected, so this is a genuine pre-experience master for recent graduates. Direct admission is open to holders of a bachelor's (or master's) degree that KU Leuven judges equivalent to its own BSc in Business Administration; graduates of other disciplines route in through a separate Preparatory Programme first. You also have to evidence English proficiency, though applicants whose entire degree was taught in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK or the USA are exempted on the strength of their transcripts.
