Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the ESSEC Intensive and Flexible tracks?
The Intensive Track is a 12-month full-time program with no integrated work experience and tuition of €38,500. The Flexible Track runs 24–36 months and embeds mandatory work experience (typically 12+ months of internships and/or apprenticeship contracts) between academic terms. Most international candidates choose the Flexible Track because it integrates the gap year and apprenticeship pathways that French students traditionally use to fund the degree.
What does ESSEC tuition cover?
Tuition ranges from €38,500 for the Intensive 1-year track to approximately €79,000 for the Flexible 2-year track with a Singapore term. The fee covers academic instruction, course materials, careers services, and ESSEC's alumni network. It does not include living costs, apprenticeship-related costs, or international travel for the Singapore or Rabat campuses. The French apprenticeship contract (*contrat d'apprentissage*) can cover a substantial share of tuition for eligible students.
What jobs do ESSEC graduates take?
Approximately 34% of graduates enter consulting, engineering, or ICT; 33% enter finance, trading, or insurance; and 30% enter health, luxury, sports, or sustainability. The employment rate at three months post-graduation is 99%. Top employers include the major strategy consultancies (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), the Big Four (EY, Deloitte), French luxury houses (L'Oréal, LVMH), and the major French and European banks (BNP Paribas, Société Générale).
